Hi, I’m Kristaps and welcome to my special corner of internet.
Currently, I’m a Business Operations Partner at a Baltimore-based 14 West. Myself? I’m based in Singapore.
I primarily work on marketing and editorial operations for financial publishers in the Agora network: funnels, email/SMS, analytics, websites, ad-tech and editorial tooling. Day-to-day that means loads of different applications and the messy connective work between them.
On the side I build small products – DotDotDone (a minimalist time tracker) and a bunch of browser-based games. You can view all my projects here. I do my best to write about marketing ops, indie building, expat life in Singapore, and the FIRE numbers behind all of it.
A tech geek, amateur athlete and a traveller – some of the things I consider myself to be.
Besides the above, I also enjoy reading non-fiction, learning about all sorts of things (marketing, DIY, cars) and eating all sorts of foods.
Why do I need this website?
First, I thought that this would be a great place to practice the craft of writing as well as improve my grammar.
Second, this website can become my online real estate. It will gather my views, lessons and, occasionally, some photos from my lifestyle. Although all this can be done via social media, I will be 100% in control of this site. So when the next big social media house is getting shut, this place might still be running.
And finally – I hope that someone, at some point, will learn from the content I have published. Simple as that.
My life thus far:

This is a living project. It’s not polished (neither am I). But it’s real. And that’s the whole point.
